We live in a world where everyone is clamoring to stay ahead. They post, they tweet, they pin and they share, all trying to lean in and keep their finger on the new digital pulse. Within our own industry, tens of thousands of communications people have started packing for Austin to attend the upcoming SXSW Interactive – one of the most important global interactive gatherings – to be exposed to the latest and share ideas on how technology will shape the future.
At Porter Novelli, we don’t believe in just attending the show. In fact, we think it is never enough just to have your finger on the pulse without also having your hands in the clay to mold and drive real social change. After all, it’s what we’ve been doing for 40 years. Perhaps that is why Porter Novelli continues to change more lives than any other firm on the planet. Working with like-minded clients, we have helped consumers eat better, breathe cleaner air, help the fights against AIDS and cancer, and impact many more initiatives around the globe. We’ve always known that it is doing well that affords us the ability to also do some good.
The actual mission of SXSW Interactive is not to offer content. Rather, it challenges the community to use technology to change the world for the better. This is why we are so proud to not just participate, but actually be the official agency partner of SXSW Interactive. What good is exposure without a commitment to act?
So, as the masses soon ascend to make sure “Austin Stays Weird,” we are committed to doing more. Much more. And we will need your help spreading the fire. United, we conquer…
If not, what’s the good?
